Unlike its Merdeka campaign from a couple of months back, Beam says the discount applies to all e-scooter rides regardless of time, provided that they are booked within the promotional period. In addition, an extra RM1.50 off will also be granted to those who end their trips at designated parking spots at polling stations. The company is encouraging Malaysians to use its service as a first and last-mile option, especially if they’re relying on public transport to get to their respective constituencies and back. For those who’ve never used the service and are planning to give it a go, Beam e-scooters can be found at certain popular locations, as well as public transport hubs including LRT, MRT and monorail stations in the Klang Valley. They are also easily identifiable thanks to their bright purple colour scheme, and are often parked in a row at these aforementioned locations. Aside from Beam Mobility, other services such as Malaysia Airlines and its subsidiary Firefly are also offering discounts for GE15, while Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is providing additional ETS services as well as a special train to the East Coast from 18 to 20 November. Another one worth mentioning is MySPR Semak’s website and mobile app, which you can utilise to conveniently check your voter status and also determine the location of your designated polling station.
