To recap, the G-Shock Virtual Rainbow collection consists of four watches: the DW-6900RGB-1, GA-700RGB-1A, GA-2100RGB-1A, and the GA-100RGB-1A. All models sport a theme that are inspired by gaming peripherals such as headsets, keyboards and so on, especially those equipped with RGB lighting systems – hence, the multi-coloured watch faces and accents. More specifically, both the DW-6900RGB-1 and GA-100RGB-1A models come with fancy “rainbow vapour deposition” watch faces, which are basically spectrum-coloured metallic plates. The GA-700RGB-1A and GA-2100RGB-1A models, on the other hand, trades the multi-colored plates for brightly coloured interfaces adorning their matte black watch faces. Apart from that, the quartet also comes with glossy black resin bezels and bands, as well as features such as shock resistance, 20 bar water resistance, multi-zone world time support, stopwatch, and so on. For lighting, the GA-100RGB-1A, GA-2100RGB-1A and GA-700RGB-1A are equipped with LED lights, while the DW-6900RGB-1 comes with a Blue Green EL light. Sadly, despite it being based on the concept, the Virtual Rainbow series does not feature any form of RGB lighting whatsoever. All four watches from the series sport the same pricing as their respective online listings on Casio Malaysia’s website. To be more specific, DW-6900RGB-1 is retailing at RM 595, the GA-700RGB-1A and GA-2100RGB-1A both at RM 615, and the GA-100RGB-1A at RM 665. According to G-Factory, stocks for all four watches arrived at their store in Mid Valley just yesterday. That being said, it’s very likely that the Virtual Rainbow line-up may already be available at other authorised Casio and G-Shock retailers nationwide, if not soon.
