Much like last year’s release, the Galaxy Z Fold5 is shown to feature the same book-styled form factor, all-screen external and internal displays, flat-edged surrounding frame, covered hinge, and a protruding vertical bump housing all three of its rear cameras. According to OnLeaks, the upcoming phone will measure 154.9 x 67.1 x 13.5 mm when folded and 154.9 x 129.9 x 6.3 mm when unfolded, which is overall slightly thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold4.

However, whether or not this would finally solve the Fold series’ crease problem remains to be seen. Measurements for the displays on the Galaxy Z Fold5 remain unchanged from its predecessor. More specifically, its external screen comes in at 6.2-inches whereas its internal one measures at 7.6-inches when unfolded. Meanwhile, exact details regarding the technologies found onboard are still kept in the dark, though rumours suggest that both displays will feature AMOLED panels with brighter output and up to 120 Hz refresh rate. In addition, unofficial sources added that the flagship foldable will feature the same “For Galaxy” version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset that’s also equipped on this year’s Samsung Galaxy S23 series. It is also believed that it would come with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage options, as well as IPX8 water resistance, and upgraded imaging systems. Like the leaked Galaxy Z Flip5, it is not known when Samsung is expected to debut the Galaxy Z Fold5. Based on Samsung’s past Unpacked events, it is very likely that both foldables will debut at the same time. (Source: OnLeaks, via Smartprix)
