At a glance, it might be hard to differentiate the EQE from its higher-end sibling EQS due to the similarities between their design cues. However, the EQE is actually slightly shorter and of course, this model does not have all the extra amenities featured in EQS such as dual infotainment screens and tablet for rear passengers. [Image: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.]In Malaysia, the new model is available only as the EQE 350+ although there are plenty of AMG goodies that come with it. Among them includes AMG Line exterior that features AMG bodystyling, 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, AMG floor mats and AMG sports pedal system. When it comes to performance, the EQE 350+ comes with a rear-wheel-drive setup that features a 215kW motor that can provide up to 565Nm of torque. The new EV is powered by a 90.56kWh lithium-ion battery that allows it to deliver a maximum range of between 587 to 669km according to the WLPT standard. [Image: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.]As for charging time, it takes around 8 hours 15 minutes to get from 10% to 100% state of charge (SOC) via 11kW AC charging. Naturally, owners can reduce the charging time to as low as 32 minutes by using DC fast charger with maximum power rating of 170kW. On the outside, the EQE 350+ can be obtained in plenty of different colours such as Polar White, Graphite Grey Metallic, Selenite Grey Metallic, Sodalite Blue Metallic, Obsidian Black Metallic, High-Tech Silver Metallic, Manufaktur Patagonia Red Metallica, and  Manufacktur Hyacinth Red Metallic – all of which you can choose through MBM’s online configurator. [Image: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.]On the inside, there is only one colour option though which is the two-tone Black and Space Grey colourway while the seats are wrapped with a combination of Artico man-made leather and Microcut microfibre. Additionally, the multifunction sport steering wheel is also covered in nappa leather. Unlike EQS, the Malaysian variant of EQE 350+ does not come with the massive Hyperscreen infotainment set up though but there is still a huge 12.8-inch central display as well as a separate 12.3-inch display for driver. [Image: Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.]As the variant does not come with dedicated screen for the front passenger, the area is now occupied by laser-cut, backlit Mercedes-Benz star pattern instead. To deliver the sound inside the new EV, Mercedes-Benz has turned to the Burmester 3D surround system which has 15 speakers all over the car and being driven by 710 watts DSP amplifier. Price-wise, the EQE 350+ in Malaysia costs RM419,888 OTR without insurance and is inclusive of a 10% sales tax. As a comparison, the EQS 450+ was priced at RM698,888 in Malaysia while the EQA, EQB, and EQC can be obtained for RM296,888, RM328,888, and RM388,888, respectively. Similar to the EQS, each EQE 350+ comes standard with a 4-year unlimited mileage warranty while its battery has its own warranty policy that covers a period of 10 years or 250,000 km mileage, whichever comes first. The new executive all-electric sedan is readily available for orders right away although you may have to check out with your chosen Mercedes-Benz dealership for the exact delivery timeframe. New Mercedes EQ customers will also receive a 1-year JomCharge subscription whereby they will be able to charge their EQ models at JomCharge EV chargers all over the country Meanwhile, you can also take a closer look at the new EQE 350+ as well as its four other EQ siblings at the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia roadshow at the ground floor of the New Wing in 1 Utama, Bandar Utama from today until this Sunday, 18 December.
