Since then, Netflix says it has released 55 titles, which are undoubtedly an added bonus if you’re already paying for the streaming plan. Now, the streaming giant is planning a massive addition to its catalogue, with 40 more games slated for later this year. Moreover, there are apparently 70 games in development by Netflix’s partner studios and another 16 games in the works by the company’s in-house game studios. This brings the total number of games being developed to 86 on top of the 40 titles already on their way to the platform in 2023 — it’s confirmed that there will be new games every month. Last year, Netflix already announced a partnership with Ubisoft that will see the developer release three mobile games exclusively on the streaming platform. Valiant Hearts: Coming Home debuted in January while Mighty Quest: Rogue Palace is coming on 18 April; an Assassin’s Creed mobile game is also being developed. For fans of the popular Monument Valley games by Ustwo, both titles of the franchise will be coming to Netflix in 2024. Last but not least, the company revealed that Super Evil Megacorp — the developer of Vainglory and Catalyst Black — is working with Netflix on an exclusive game, with more details coming later this year. Last year, VP of game development Mike Verdu teased that Netflix was looking into launching its own cloud gaming service. In the latest update, VP of external games Leanne Loombe told reporters yesterday that the company’s cloud gaming service is “underway”, though they are still working out how to navigate around Apple’s restrictions on cloud gaming apps.
