As covered previously in our last article, the AW720H Dual Mode Wireless Gaming Headset is one of two newer headsets coming from Dell’s gaming oriented sub-brand, with its sibling (the AW520H) basically being the wired-only variant. Apart from the different connectivity support, both headsets come with the same specifications, features, and design. To recap, the AW720H features a wide suspension headband that’s adjustable for a more personalised fit, whereas both of its cans have an illuminated Alienware logo, as well as soft memory foam ear cups wrapped in breathable fabric. Additionally, on the left side of the device is a boom microphone with AI-based noise cancelling, while at the bottom of both cans are controls for adjusting game and chat volume. In terms of colour selection, it is available in either Dark Side of the Moon (Black) or Lunar Light (White). Internally, the audio for the new Alienware Dual Mode Wireless Gaming Headset is delivered through 40 mm Hi-Res certified drivers with Dolby Atmos enhancements, allowing for an immersive 3D surround sound. As suggested by its name, it supports two connectivity modes, where the user may opt for either a wireless connection via the included 2.4 GHz USB-C dongle or a detachable 3.5 mm wired integration. For battery, the company says the AW720H can last up to 30 hours on a single charge, and has fast-charging support that grants up to six hours of usage from just 15 minutes of top-up. Next up, we have the Alienware AW620M Wireless Gaming Mouse, which is touted to provide gamers with comfort, precision and accuracy in a single ergonomic package. It has an asymmetrical shape, a dedicated thumb channel to accommodate palm-style grips, and features magnetic-force left and right keyplates, as well as RGB lighting. Additionally, the mouse also features tactile, textured grip zones, and a slider placement on top for quick DPI selection while in game. Like the headset, it is also offered in Dark Side of the Moon (Black) and Lunar Light (White) colours. Performance-wise, its onboard first-party sensor technology enables up to 26,000 DPI, as well as 650 IPS and 50G max acceleration. Again, like the AW720H, there’s no Bluetooth support, so all wireless-based connectivity is handled by a 2.4 GHz USB-C dongle. There’s also a USB-C port in front of the mouse for both charging and wired usage. Alienware claims the AW620M is capable of lasting up to 140 hours on a single charge, while its fast-charging support can grant it up to 10 hours of continuous usage after a mere five minute charge. The AW720H Dual Mode Wireless Gaming Headset is set to retail for RM 679, while the AW620M Wireless Gaming Mouse will be sold for RM 369. Local pricing and availability for the Alienware AW520H Wired Gaming Headset and AW920K Wireless Gaming Keyboard, on the other hand, are still unconfirmed at this time.
