Netflix will release a total of 30 hours of sessions that will be separated into two batches. Available in 10 languages, subscribers will have access to more than 90 workouts that can be selected by type or duration. The first batch of these classes will be debuting on 30 December with a total of 46 episodes across five programmes including Kickstart Fitness with the Basics, Two Weeks to a Stronger Core, Fall in Love with Vinyasa Yoga, HIIT & Strength with Tara, and Feel-Good Fitness. The second batch of the NTC workouts will launch sometime in 2023, but the streaming service has not yet revealed any information about these programmes. When they become available, the collection of workouts can be found on Netflix by searching for “Nike”. If you’re not familiar with the NTC app, it launched back in 2009 and offers a range of exercise options for people of all fitness levels, including strength training, yoga, and high-intensity workouts. Led by premier certified and globally renowned trainers such as Joe Holder, Kirsty Godso, and Betina Gozo, the platform which is currently available on iOS and Android, can even offer customised warmups, tips, and motivation. Given that the new year is just around the corner, the release timing of NTC workouts on Netflix is perfect for those who want to make a lifestyle change without committing to a gym pass. Of course, Netflix already has experience in driving health-related content: it collaborated with Vox Media Studios last year to produce several shows promoting mental health through meditation and sleep. The streaming giant has been delving into content that strays away from its core business of TV shows, including mobile games and plans to launch a cloud gaming service. Last month, Netflix even launched an interactive trivia game on its platform called the Triviaverse. (Sources: Netflix, Nike.)
