The Nord Buds 2 sport the same 12.4mm titanium drivers as its predecessor, available in white and grey colour options. They come with the same IP55 dust and water resistance and media control is activated by tapping on the stems. To everyone’s surprise, OnePlus added ANC to the Nords earbuds lineup, capable of reducing background noise by up to 25dB, which isn’t the best but a welcome addition at this price point. Of course, it also comes with a transparency mode as well as a feature to isolate your voice during voice calls for more clarity. As for connectivity, the Nord Buds 2 are equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 and support Dolby Atmos. It comes with a master equaliser which you can play with through your phone, supports OnePlus Fast Pair, and can do “device shifting”, which we’ve been told is essential the same as Dual Connection. Battery life on the earbuds received a notable upgrade compared to its predecessor. On a single charge, it can last five hours with ANC off and seven hours with the feature disabled. When combined with the charging case, the Nord Buds 2 can last a total of between 27 to 36 hours depending on how much you use ANC. If you run out of juice, the company claims that you can get five hours of usage with just 10 minutes of charging. The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 will be available for pre-orders on 11 April at RM329. Those who pre-order, as well as early birds who purchase it from 18 to 25 April, can get a RM30 discount on the earbuds. (Source: OnePlus Press Release)
