Starting off with its specs, the phone has a 6.52-inch HD+ display with a surprising 120Hz touch sampling rate, and runs a MediaTek Helio C36 chipset on the inside. Its RAM and storage space are rated at 4GB and 64GB respectively. The former does come with the extended RAM gimmick, sort of pushing it up to 7GB. For the latter, if you feel that it’s not quite enough, there’s the option to expand it by up to 1TB via microSD. There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the back. Speaking of back, the phone has an 8MP main camera, alongside an unspecified second sensor. As for the secondary shooter, this is a 5MP camera that sits in a waterdrop notch. Powering all of this is a familiar 5000mAh battery, with its 10W charging. This is, sadly, still done with the Micro USB connector. So while the phone itself has what it takes to run for long periods of time, charging it back up from empty is going to be a less-than-ideal experience. On the software side of things, the POCO C51 runs Android 13 Go edition which, alongside the model number, indicates that it’s a little lower on the totem pole compared to the C55. The POCO C51 is set to be available in India starting 12 April, and for a price of INR8499 (~RM457). Where the C55 comes with a faux leather back, the C51 comes with a more conventional plastic material, with colour variants being a choice of two – Power Black and Royal Blue. No word on availability elsewhere just yet, including ours. (Source: Flipkart)
