The C53 sports a 6.74-inch 90Hz display with a peak brightness of 450 nits and a mini-drop notch. For the Mini Capsule, it’s still limited to only showing the battery and charging status with different colours, but the company is promising future updates that let users see data usage and walking statistics, although they did not give a firm rollout window.
On the processor side, the budget phone runs on a Unisoc Tiger T612 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage alongside a microSD card slot for up to 2TB of expansion and the option to use up to an additional 6GB of memory as dynamic RAM. It ships with realme UI T Edition based on Android 13. For cameras, it has a rear setup with a 50MP primary sensor as well as a B&W secondary lens while up front, the notch houses an 8MP selfie shooter. As for connectivity, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and it’s equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Powering the C53 is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast wired charging which can juice up the phone from zero to 51% in 31 minutes. Other specs include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and UltraBoom speakers with 150% volume. The realme C53 will retail for RM599 for the single configuration of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which will be available on the brand’s online Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok stores along with its physical stores and authorised dealers starting on 7 June 2023.
