As mentioned earlier, the new Samsung Galaxy A14 is the lower-end sibling of the 5G model that was announced earlier this year. It shares the same design, meaning that it too comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display with a water-drop notch, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, loudspeaker, USB-C port, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Additionally, the phone runs on the brand’s One UI Core 5 platform which is based on Android 13, and features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC connectivity. Under its hood is an undisclosed 2GHz octa-core chipset that’s believed to be an Exynos 1330, which is paired together with a single memory configuration of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB internal memory, with up to 1TB external storage support via MicroSD. Powering the device is an all-day 5,000 mAh battery with 15 W charging support. For imaging, on the back of the Galaxy A14 is a triple camera setup that consists of a 50 MP primary, 2 MP macro, and a 2 MP depth sensor. Meanwhile, housed within the water-drop notch on its display is a 13 MP front-facing camera. If these sound familiar, that’s because they’re the exact same arrangements as the 5G model.

Speaking of which, it appears that Samsung is also gearing up to finally launch the Galaxy A14 5G in Malaysia soon – likely around the same time as its siblings. Apart from the SIRIM listing which we’ve reported two months ago, we’ve discovered that a support page for the smartphone is now live on the brand’s local website as well. However, apart from confirming the product’s name and model number, not much can be found there. We’ve reached out to Samsung Malaysia regarding the Galaxy A14 series’ potential launch for the local market, but have yet to receive a response from them. Nevertheless, we’ll keep you posted if there are any updates. (Source: Samsung Malaysia [1] [2])
