The current flagship, the S23 Ultra, features a 200MP primary camera using the HP2 sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide, and two 10MP telephoto lenses with 3x and 10x zoom capabilities. With the upcoming phone, Ice Universe claimed that it will have this exact same setup with one minor change.
— ICE UNIVERSE (@UniverseIce) June 11, 2023 Allegedly, the only upgrade the S24 Ultra will be getting is a modified version of the 10MP telephoto lens with 10x zoom. Aside from that, it will also be equipped with laser autofocus and it is expected to bring back the 12MP selfie shooter with autofocus. This leak contradicts a rumour from earlier this month, which claimed that the South Korean company is planning on replacing the 3x telephoto lens with one capable of 5x optical zoom. Either way, this voids Ice Universe’s previous leak that said the S24 Ultra will be moving to a three-camera system with a single telephoto lens equipped with a variable zoom ranging from 3x to 10x.
Moreover, the new Ultra could be upgrading the refresh rate of its display from 120Hz to 144Hz, as well as being fitted with satelite connectivity just like the flagship phones from Apple and Samsung. Another leak purports that the lineup could also get increased RAM with the Ultra getting 16GB. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to run on the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is set to be unveiled this October. As for when the lineup will launch, it is predicted to debut sometime in the first quarter of 2024. (Source: Gizmochina)
