In addition to the knockdown in price, customers who purchase the Neo G7 online will receive 5x Reward Points from the official Samsung Online Store. If that wasn’t enough, if you’re a first-time purchaser on the store, you’ll also receive an additional 5% in-cart discount, which means that the price of the monitor will go from RM3699 to RM3514.05. Do note that this special deal is only available while stocks last and of course, terms and conditions will apply. Specs-wise, the Odyssey Neo G7 is a large 43-inch gaming monitor that uses Samsung’s Quantum Mini-LED display technology. It is a 4K monitor (3840 x 2160) with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz and a response time of 1ms MPRT. As a quick primer, MPRT is another form of motion blur reduction, whereby a monitor disables the backlight during picture changes and enables it again after the picture is changed. Other specifications include the Neo G7 being VESA Display HDR600 and HDR10+ Gaming certified, although the official press release lists the maximum brightness of the monitor at just 400 nits. Moving on, the monitor adopts AMD’s FreeSync Premium Pro anti-tearing technology. That last feature is, again, a bit odd because within the monitor’s Samsung Gaming Hub platform, there is access to NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW game streaming service. Ports-wise, the Neo G7 is built with one DisplayPort 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, and surprisingly, a LAN port. It’s also got built-in speakers, specifically two 20W tweeters but no woofers inside. Lastly, inspite of its side, the monitor is also wall-mountable. (Source: Samsung)
