The lightweight app comes with a smaller download size and works on Android devices that run older operating systems all the way back to Android 4.4, as well as EMUI 3 and above. For those who might be using it in an area with bad connectivity, the Petronas-owned brand claims that the new app is mobile data friendly and can work even with EDGE, 2G, and 3G. Additionally, just like with the standard app, users can earn up to 3x Mesra points when they purchase fuel through Setel lite, along with the ability to check their Mesra points. Users can top-up their Setel Wallet either with cash at Petronas stations or via online banking. The lighter app is also compatible with Family Wallet, which means that members can still share the e-wallet balance regardless of which version of the app they use. Aside from being simpler to use, the fonts and app buttons are larger so that even the elderly can use it. Setel Lite is available to download for free on the Google Play Store, although it had actually already been listed since 28 February. The company also says that the app will be coming to the Huawei AppGallery soon, but it did not give a firm timeline. (Source: Setel Press Release)
