This particular plan has always been priced at RM41.90 per month except during the first few months of its launch. Essentially, the new promotional price came just in time for the latest season of Liga Malaysia which has just kicked off late last month. In case you missed the news, Astro has obtained the rights once again to become one of the two official broadcasters for all major competitions under Liga Malaysia. The company broadcast them not only on its main platform but also through Sooka and the NJOI prepaid service. Aside from Liga Malaysia matches and related content such as match highlights, reviews, and interviews, the Sooka VIP + Sports plan also allows subscribers access to other sporting events such as Premier League, AFC, UFC, Formula 1, MotoGP and more. Naturally, the plan also covers other premium-tier shows and movies that are available through the freemium platform. Meanwhile, Sooka’s support site has pointed out that this pricing will only be available for a limited time although the site did not reveal the actual end date. Alternatively, the service also offers a monthly Liga Malaysia Pass and the standalone Single Match Pass which are currently priced at RM28.90 and RM4.90, respectively. Regardless of your choice, access to all three plans is limited to Sooka’s website and mobile apps. For those who want to enjoy Sooka on their TV, they have to sign up for the VIP TV plan instead which costs RM62.90 per month. Not to forget, the VIP TV plan can only be accessed through selected TV models. Among them includes Sony and Sharp models with Android TV 8.0 and above as well as Web OS-based LG and Tizen-based Samsung smart TVs released in 2018 or newer.
