A Reddit user has shared on the site a screenshot for the game’s Japanese page, which shows a file size of 18.2GB. This reflects the file size that is shown on the US site for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The first game measured in at 14.4GB, which is still quite the jump in file size, depending on the way you look at it. All that being said though, keeping a game of the current generation under 20GB is still pretty impressive, even if it is a Nintendo Switch title. For context, the console handheld hybrid’s port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt comes in at 31.5GB. Then there are titles like NBA 2K23 with its 53.7GB file size, which makes you wonder what is taking up all that space. As mentioned earlier The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is just under three months away, with a release date of 12 May 2023. There are also images of a special edition Nintendo Switch for the game that has been leaked way ahead of the game’s release.
