Starting with the top of the line model, the TP-Link Archer BE900, this is a quad-band router featuring a 2.4GHz band, two 5GHz bands and a 6GHz band. The speeds for each of these are rated at 1367Mbps, 5760Mbps and 11520Mbps, respectively. For wired connections, it has two 10Gbps ports, four 2.5Gbps ports and one 1Gbps ports, as well as two USB connectors Which are all pretty impressive, but they ought to be when you consider the way this thing looks. The TP-Link Archer BE900 looks like a very small PC tower, with a very aggressive aesthetic reminiscent of a video gaming machine. It even comes with a touchscreen and a LED grid. Scaling down from there are the Archer BE800 and Archer BE550, which shares a similar look as the big brother model. Though being scaled down models, these are tri-band routers instead of quad-band, while also losing the touchscreen. The smallest brother in the family also loses the LED display entirely. Losing one band also means that they have a lower maximum transfer speed across all bands, rated at 19Gbps and 9.2Gbps, respectively. The latter is also limited to 2.5Gbps ports. Launched alongside the earlier three is the TP-Link Archer GE800, the model that is described as the more gamer-centric one of the bunch. This actually gives this router a more traditional look. On the specs side of things, this is a tri-band router with a 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz band, with an excessive eight RJ45 ports – two rated at 10Gbps, another two at 2.5Gbps, and four at 1Gbps. The brand also claims that this model “boosts gaming traffic, stabilises connections and reduced latency” likely through QoL algorithms. Finally, there are the three home mesh systems, the TP-Link Deco BE95, BE85 and BE65. The first sports four bands with a combined transfer speed of 33Gbps, the second is a tri-band model with a total speed of up to 22Gbps, while the last one is rated only at 11Gbps. For their prices, they all command a pretty high asking price, though TP-Link didn’t quite provide the full picture. For starters, the brand only announced the price of the Archer BE900, which is US$699.99 (~RM3187). As for the mesh system, the company only provided prices for the Deco BE95 and BE85, which are US$1199.99 (~RM5463) and US$999.99 (~RM4552), respectively for two-pack sets. And despite their reveal now, they will only be available in the first quarter of next year. No word on local details just yet though. (Source: TP-Link)
